Marc has a 30 years background in risk, corporate governance and compliance at senior roles in financial services and corporate sectors. He has been a civil servant, a financial services regulator and has also run compliance functions in financial services and corporate sectors. He spent 11 years as a senior executive at BP plc: his last role as Global Head of Business Integrity. He has advised on ethics and compliance matters within engineering and marketing businesses and has also advised on compliance matters in relation to artificial intelligence and algorithmic trading systems. He is now a management consultant and has worked on compliance remediation programmes at investment banks. He is a trustee of Marches Counselling Services (a mental health charity) and Gwent Wildlife Trust (a conservation charity) and has been a non-executive director of a financial services trade association for 6 years. He was recently appointed as a Lay Observer for the UK’s Ministry of Justice. Marc has a keen interest in diversifying educational opportunities and access. He has a MSc in Politics and Administration and a BA Hons in History and International Relations.
