Run by students for students, The NMITE Students’ Union (SU) will represent and support you to make the most of your NMITE experience, providing a ready-made community away from home. In a nutshell, the SU will turn your university life into a rollercoaster of laughter, friendship and unforgettable experiences.
As an NMITE student, you’ll automatically become a member of the NMITE SU. And you’ll find plenty of opportunities to get involved. Love fun? You’re in safe hands. From parties and social gatherings to sports clubs, societies and everything in between, the NMITE SU has it covered.
The SU isn't just about throwing social events though; they're also your voice in NMITE's grand decision-making arena. They gather your thoughts, dreams, and your feedback, and bravely present them to NMITE decision-makers, ensuring that NMITE keeps evolving for you and for generations to come.
Social events and societies
The SU has an enviable calendar of social events – from Halloween shindigs to Christmas market expeditions. Dive into brainy fun with quizzes and let loose at end-of-term bashes. Join the Outdoor Adventure Society (NOAS) for extreme escapades; connect with likeminded comrades through Women in STEM; or groove to the rhythm of the Live Music Fellowship.

You could join the SU Executive Committee!
The SU is run by a group of voted-for students (these students form the SU Executive Committee), with a little extra support from NMITE staff. Elections are run every year for new students to join the committee. You might even want to run for a role while you’re here.

The president role comes with a lot of responsibility and allows you to experience what a leadership role feels like. It will help me in my future career and I highly recommend students to get involved.
