NMITE is delighted to announce the appointment of Mo Sayed as an Assistant Professor. With extensive experience in teaching and research, Mo joins us from the University of Wolverhampton School of Engineering, where they served as a Lecturer in Engineering. Their contributions included delivering modules in electronics, mechatronics, robotics, and engineering enterprise, as well as leading courses in Mechatronics Engineering and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. Mo also played a crucial role in the school's IET accreditation efforts and supervised numerous doctoral, master's, and undergraduate research projects, focusing on the evaluation of robotic and prosthetic hands.

Mo's academic journey began with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the Higher Technological Institute in Egypt, followed by a top-up course in Mechatronic System Engineering at Sheffield Hallam University. They further pursued a Doctor of Philosophy in Sheffield Robotics at Sheffield Hallam University, where they developed a MATLAB simulation tool for analysing prosthetic and robotic hand performance. Mo's research has been showcased at prestigious conferences worldwide, including the EU Cognition Conference in Vienna, the Towards Autonomous Robotic Systems conference in Sheffield, and the International Conference on Intelligent Robotics and Applications in Guangzhou.
