Parakram has taught internationally and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He holds PhD in Ocean Engineering from Florida Atlantic University, USA. At NMITE, Parakram primarily teaches modules related to Mechanics, Thermal Systems and Materials Engineering.
Parakram has published widely within the topics of sustainability and energy systems. He also conducts pedagogical research on engineering education.
