NMITE Open for Business

Fifteen Herefordshire businesses signed the Armed Forces Covenant at NMITE’s Military to Business Showcase on 19 June 2025, supported by UK Government speakers including Al Carns MP and James Cartlidge.

Women can do, and have done, incredible things when it comes to STEM. Today, we will be celebrating some of the great ‘firsts’ achieved by women over the years, as we continue to inspire the next, more inclusive, generation of engineers.

We caught up with Rachel Carr on Business Checkmates’ partnership with NMITE, and why the Business Start-Up workshop is capable of helping to provide positive skills to those looking to take that first step into a new world of business.
