Associate Professor

Michael is an accomplished engineer and educator with extensive experience in new vehicle project delivery, spanning from product planning through to warranty resolution. Throughout his career, he has worked on a diverse array of vehicle programs, from commercial vans to luxury coupes and hyper-cars. His professional journey has taken him across the UK, Germany, and India, providing him with a rich, global perspective on automotive engineering.

 

With a strong focus on detail and data-driven decision-making, Michael has successfully led numerous cross-functional teams, solving complex engineering problems and driving innovation in the automotive industry. Notably, he played a key role in delivering the Bentley Continental GT through planning, architecture, design, development, and launch phases. His achievements include defining optimal SUV proportions, recommending BEV JV platform strategies for luxury and domestic Indian SUVs, and solving long-standing issues using Six Sigma, 8D, and Design of Experiment approaches.

 

In recent years, Michael has transitioned into the education sector, where he imparts his extensive knowledge to both industry professionals and university students. As an Associate Professor at NMITE Hereford, he designed and facilitated student experiments, provided guidance on design projects, and delivered enrichment lessons. As the Director of his own consultancy business, he designed and delivered online problem-solving training for EV OEMs and provided guest lectures to M. Eng and MSc students. Now, Michael is joining NMITE on a full-time basis as an Associate Professor, where he will continue to inspire and educate the next generation of engineers.
