Your Journey to Joining NMITE

Once you have accepted your offer, there are a few important steps to complete before you start your studies with us. This page explains what will happen next and what you may need to do before enrolment.

We recommend reading this information carefully, so you understand the next stages of the process and the arrangements for joining NMITE.

Confirming Your Place

If you have received a conditional offer, your place will be confirmed once your results have been received and verified.

If you applied through UCAS

UCAS will send us your exam results when they are released by the UK exam boards.

If you applied directly to NMITE

Please email your results to admissions@nmite.ac.uk as soon as you receive them so we can review your application.

If you do not meet the conditions of your offer, we may still consider confirming your place. In these circumstances we will review your full application, including your academic profile, to determine whether we are able to offer you a place.

We will contact you to confirm the outcome once your results have been reviewed.

Tuition Fees and Student Finance

If you are a UK student, you may be eligible to apply for financial support through the UK Government’s student finance system.

This may include:

  • a Tuition Fee Loan to cover the cost of your tuition fees
  • a Maintenance Loan to help with living costs while you study

Repayments normally begin once you are earning above the relevant repayment threshold.

Applications for student finance usually open towards the end of March. Applying early can help reduce the risk of delays in receiving funding at the start of the academic year.

You can check eligibility, the amount you may receive, and how to apply on the UK Government Student Finance website.

If you’re a self-funding student or a sponsored student, you must arrange to pay your fees directly to us. You’ll make your first payment as soon as you’re fully enrolled as an NMITE student; we’ll issue your first invoice approximately 30 days prior to your enrolment date.

Further information about tuition fees and payment options is available on the fees and finance page of our website

Accommodation

NMITE provides student accommodation at Eign Gate.

If you would like to apply for accommodation, you can register your interest by completing the accommodation application form.

How to apply

  1. Review the available room tiers for Eign Gate accommodation.
  2. Complete the accommodation expression of interest form.
  3. Indicate your preferred room tier in the comments section of the form.

What happens next

After you submit your form:

  • The accommodation team will confirm that your application has been received.
  • If rooms are available, you may be provisionally allocated a room and contacted with further details about the accommodation offer and next steps.

Accommodation is limited and allocated subject to availability. Rooms are normally offered on a first-come, first-served basis, but submitting an expression of interest does not guarantee a room.

If accommodation is offered to you, you will receive full details of:

  • the accommodation contract
  • accommodation fees and payment schedule
  • contract length
  • cancellation terms

You should review this information carefully before accepting an accommodation offer.

Please ensure that you provide up-to-date contact details and check your email regularly, including your junk folder.

If you have any questions, please contact the Student Services team.

ID Check at Enrolment

You will need to bring valid identification with you when you attend enrolment.

Your identification must be original and in date. Photocopies or photographs will not be accepted.

Accepted forms of ID include:

  • Passport
  • UK driving licence
  • National ID card (for example CitizenCard)
  • UK long birth certificate together with photo ID showing a PASS hologram
  • e-Visa documentation (for international students studying in the UK)

NMITE must record your official name exactly as it appears on your identification for our student records.

Information for International Students

If you are an international student, we require a £3,000 tuition fee deposit to confirm your place. This deposit will be deducted from your first year’s tuition fees.

If you require a student visa to study in the UK, we will issue your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) once the deposit has been received and the necessary checks have been completed. You will need this document in order to apply for your UK Student visa.

Further information about the visa application process will be provided after you have accepted your offer.

Students with a Disability or Learning Difference

NMITE offers a range of support for students with disabilities, long-term health conditions, or learning differences.

If you believe you may need additional support during your studies, we encourage you to contact us as early as possible so we can discuss the options available.

Sharing information about a disability or learning difference will not affect your application or offer.

You may also be eligible for support through Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA), which can help with costs such as specialist equipment, study support, or other adjustments.

If you would like to discuss your support needs confidentially, please contact the Student Services team: studentsupport@nmite.ac.uk

STEPS – INTO (Pre-Arrival Programme)

To support your transition to studying at NMITE, we run a STEPS – INTO programme during the summer before you begin your course.

These online sessions introduce you to key staff and student support teams and provide an opportunity to meet other students on your course before you arrive.

As part of the programme, you will also receive access to an online platform containing key information about enrolment, induction, and preparing for your studies.
