Success at NMITE means learning by doing. Designing, testing, building, problem solving and working closely with peers is all part of the process. Our graduates have spent their time tackling real engineering problems in studio-style environments and developing professional behaviours from day one. Fin Neate
Degree studied: MEng (Hons) Integrated Engineering
Now works as: Engineering and Manufacturing Graduate, Mondelēz International
Fin, originally from Herefordshire and with a background in primary education, discovered her interest in manufacturing through NMITE’s project‑based challenge. She credits that experience with helping her stand out during interviews, where her real‑world problem‑solving skills were praised. That journey has now led her to a coveted graduate role at Mondelēz International.

Now works as: Graduate Engineer, Balfour Beatty
Elise’s journey with NMITE began long before graduation. As part of the 2018 Design Cohort, she helped shape NMITE’s learner experience contributing to everything from campus layout and course design to engagement programmes and industry partnerships. She has now be joined Balfour Beatty as a Graduate Engineer.

Now works as: Graduate Trainee, Oakwrights
Toby joined NMITE in 2021 and has chosen to remain in Herefordshire after moving from his home in Devon. Throughout his studies, he discovered how his passion for technology, both hardware and software, could translate into opportunities across sectors, including construction. He’s excited to continue working in his role with Oakwrights and is equally committed to supporting NMITE’s mission by continuing to build his future in the region.
The Pioneering Cohort
NMITE’s first cohort of Integrated Engineering students have now graduated and stepped into roles with employers such as Balfour Beatty, KIER, Mondelēz International and Oakwrights. Their achievements highlight the strength of NMITE’s hands‑on, project‑based approach, introduced when the institution welcomed its first learners in 2021.
