Peter Metcalfe - Associate Professor, Academic Lead for Curriculum Partners and Staff Trustee
Peter began his career with a research degree focused on the human impact of industrialisation and global modernity. He then moved into the aerospace industry, where he initially supported — and later helped design — evaluation and qualification frameworks for international aircraft programmes. His work took him to leading flight-test centres across Europe and the United States.
He went on to spend a decade as a Scientific Advisor on cross-government projects, addressing complex and fast-moving challenges across security and national infrastructure.
Peter is now focused on bringing this breadth of experience into the classroom, helping to shape a learning programme that supports NMITE students in building a robust and meaningful portfolio of knowledge, practical skills and professional behaviours.
