NMITE currently has a wide range of CPD to offer for upskilling and reskilling individuals and the workplace. Alongside these offerings is NMITE’s Business Start-up Workshop, co-developed with our long-standing partner company, Business Checkmate. Business Founder Rachel Carr, who previously worked in both sales and marketing roles national and internationally, took the brave step to launch Business Checkmate just over 8 years ago. Since then, Rachel has helped others countless times to develop their own brilliance in business, improving their quality of life, as well as her own. In Rachel’s words – a great life should be lived every day!
We caught up with Rachel on Business Checkmates’ partnership with NMITE, and why the Business Start-Up workshop is capable of helping to provide positive skills to those looking to take that first step into a new world of business.
So, Rachel, when did you decide to partner with NMITE?
We formerly signed as a partner with NMITE in August 2019 and were delighted to have the opportunity to do so.
And why did you decide to develop the Business Start-up Workshop with NMITE? Why is it so important and how can it help people to achieve their full potential?
Starting your own business is one of the most rewarding (and at times terrifying) opportunities you can take; I can speak from personal experience and also share the experiences of the hundreds of businesses I've worked with in this regard.
NMITE, as a fellow pioneering organisation, are (and have been) the perfect partner to run the Business Start-up Workshop with. In this workshop we primarily look to build and inform delegates of the foundations for business success, debunk a few of the scary myths around taking that first step, and create an open and inclusive platform to share business knowledge both in and beyond the workshop, ultimately helping people to build their business dream.
