She / Her = Future Engineer Scholarship

NMITE’s She / Her = Future Engineer Scholarship aims to attract more women into engineering by offering a competitive funding package specifically for enrolled undergraduates who are women. This scholarship is open to all students regardless of fee status.

Women account for only 14% of the engineering workforce in the UK. This gender gap originates at a much earlier stage, with low levels of female representation within STEM subjects being seen at A-Level and Higher Education.

NMITE is committed to training engineers from different walks of life to ensure the sector better reflects society. Recruiting a wider diversity of undergraduate engineers with greater gender representation will ultimately be beneficial to engineering solutions to many of the world’s problems.
